Hey Stelek,
I play Black Templars and need some psychic defense as pointed out by http://www.yesthetruthhurts.
As you know, he can only ride in a Land Raider because of his forced choice of terminator armor. Unfortunately, if I stick him in one of the Land Raiders in my army, he'll join the Assault Terminator's squad...and forcing them to use the nice Furious Charge rule. While I understand on the top of pg. 67, 2nd column of the rulebook is says that you can disembark the IC and squad separately solving that issue with Furious Charge. Or more likely, leave him in the LR while the Termies get out.
BUT...and my question to you is: Can he use his Psychic Hood while embarked in a Land Raider? I cannot find any references in the rules, FAQ, or otherwise saying he cannot. As such, I would assume he can because he doesn't need to target anything and wouldn't be hampered by the lack of LOS the Land Raider provides (like a shooting psychic power would be). But perhaps I'm wrong, so I want to check before I include him in the army. Please help me out! I eagerly await your response. :D
Thanks in advance!

You'll find it under the rules section dealing with transports.
His hood works from within it by tracing range to the vehicle he is within.
And no,the Doom of Malablahblahnooblover does not affect you.
;)

What is the problem with furious charge and leaving him attached? Both Furious Charge and Tank Hunters are retained by units joined by ICs... I'm not overly familiar with BT or DH tho, is there some other rule I'm missing?
I cannot wait until a Tyranid player tries to pull that Doom of Malaysia shit on me. I'll just break dance all over his models. Pun intended.
I'm not sure. Furious Charge is one of the USR's that does not get lost by having a IC join the squad. Might have been a mistake on their part. *shrug*
Daemonhunters psychic hood has unlimited range IIRC.
"Daemonhunters psychic hood has an unlimited range"
Yep. No matter where the opponent is on the field the DH and WH hood can be used.
I've got a question for Stelek and the community. What is a better choice to take for Black Templars. A Brother Captain or a Grand Master. Or is this one of those questions that depends on the list.
The Grand Master with hood is double the cost of a Brother Captain with a hood but can be a great IC and MC killer due to force weapon and good stats. Plus more survivable with the 3 wounds vs. the single wound of the Brother Captain.
I feel it would be something that needs to be play tested due to army list. But would like to know what thoughts are.

I am sure both Stelek and the YTTH community has seen the INAT ruling on Doom by now. Regardless of your thoughts of either the INAT or their ruling itself, how do you guys plan to deal with the fact that this is the closest thing to an official ruling as of yet? Yes, the INAT is clearly not created by GW. However, GW does use Yakface's work on their own FAQ's, and it cannot be denied that the tournament community acknowledges the INAT.
Maybe I missed Stelek's previous verbal destruction of the INAT, but I don't think so. Curious on your thoughts.

Actually, I avoid reading Jon Regul's bullshit like the plague. So until pointed out to me, I've no idea what twaddle is going on about what, and don't care.
GW stopped using them as a basis for their FAQ quite some time ago, due to the poor quality and complete misunderstanding of basic rules concepts embodied within.
Adepticrap uses the crapfaq, and their 'tournament' is no such thing as a result.
It's a very specialized way to play 40k for rich retards.
Grats them.
Messengar: I'd almost always take the Brother Captain.
Grand Master just isn't worth 200 points.
Thanks for the reply Stelek.

They don't go to tournaments, so it doesn't really matter.
the inat faq has been loathed for a *long* time.
