Hey Stelek,
Looking over the blog and see your a competitive 40k player.
Anyways, my friend and i devised a nasty ork list for 'ard boyz. I
went 1-0-2 (would talk about it later if you want) but on the local
scene its been unbeatable so far. We play big games around here,
usually 2k+ points. Heres the list, and was wondering if you would
post your comments and thoughts, possibly any tweaks:
2495:
Ghazkull Thraka
Mad Dok Grotsnik
15 Kommandos with Snikrot and 2 burnaz
30 lootaz
4 squads of 30 boyz with a nob with a powerklaw
3 killa kans with armor plates and grotzookas
2 battlewagons with killkannons, ard case, red paint, armor plates
and grot riggers.
Obvious point is to swarm the opponent. Ghazkull and grotsnik
usually go in separate squads, but i have yet to try them out in the
same squad. The lootaz seek out primary threats, while the
battlewagons blast away. killa kans usually add their weight to turn
the tide of an assault, as 9 I2 powerfist attacks can put a damper
even on termies. Snikrot comes in and helps deal with a ranged
threat or to tie up a cc one ready to counter charge.
Anyways, thoughts?

PS feel free to e-mail me if you do post this on your blog

Yep, I'm competitive but I have a softer side! ;)
I post every email and comment on my blog.
Well I think with a little bit of change in the list and tactics, you can make the list even better.
I should note however that at 2500 points many armies can manhandle swarm-style lists.
Give this a whirl:

1 Battlewagon @ 155 Pts
Killkannon; Grot Rigger
3 Killer Kans @ 165 Pts
Dreadnought CCW; Grotzooka (x3); Armour Plates (x3)
Total Roster Cost: 2500
Tactics:
Stick the Lootas inside the battlewagons.
You don't really need to move them after the first turn, after all.
The battlewagon hull gives you a much wider area for the lootas to cover.
The little meks can repair the battlewagons main gun, which is really all that matters.
If you really don't like that combo, at least buy 2 units of grots and stick them inside the battlewagons so they are scoring threats.
Attach Ghaz and Mad Dok to the Snikrot's unit and bring that on from the board edge.
You'll hear a lot of whining about 5+/4+ fearless kommandos. Since your 2 characters are T5 they are very hard to get rid of, and give you the power klaws you need. So you don't need burnas to help you win combat.
Hope you don't mind telling everyone what happened to you and your army at the Ard Boyz. :)

thanks for the comments. I like putting grots in there for scoring units, might look into that.
Is doing the snikrot trick legal? Time to look at the rulebook. When i have time ill link my 'ard boyz experience.

You're welcome. Grots are great scoring units on your back edge where inside battlewagons. lol
Afraid it is. Until GW FAQ's it, which will probably occur the first time someone does it at a GW GT and the whiners whinefest it out of the game instead of using tactics to defeat it.
armour plates is crap cause a walker unit has same effect.
Oh I know, but for whatever reason he likes having them on his Killer Kans so I left them in.
you guys are right....doh!! guess we have some points to free up.
I don't like lootaz in the battlewagons. Simple reason is this: This army does not have any other vehicles. Therefore, any anti-tank gun is going to be firing at those two. All they need is a glance or pen, and at worse none of the lootaz can fire next turn. This allows them to silence two units with one shot. Not a good idea imo

That's exactly the noob thinking you want to encourage in your opponents.
It's beyond difficult to do much of anything to vehicles, and when you do get a result...what exactly does it do to the guys aboard?
If it's just a weapon destroyed or immobilized result...nothing much.
Essentially, you put the lootas in the army when he has a bunch of Strength 5, 6, and 7 weapons that would rip up your lootas. If he has a few anti-infantry weapons, you can sit in cover and exchange fire. If he doesn't, sit in the battlewagon. Better to be safe than get shot to pieces. If he does have lots of anti-tank fire, sit outside and eliminate it.
Note that most armies do not have lots of 48" range anti-tank and anti-infantry fire. If they did, they'd call this game 48K. lol ;)
I don't think ghazghull can infiltrate with the kommandoes...but dang, if he can..
