The new Analysis thing your doing is really cool concept and means in time the blog will have a searchable starting point for people new to game helping people to get a solid feel or opinion on units.

So I have two requests;

I run an ork list very much like your gun line one. Slightly changed from the one you gave me feedback on in the past after some play testing. My question is do you find it better to run your kannon's in front of your loota's giving them that bit of extra reach and the loota s a screen with them? Running the kannon's behind your loota's giving the kannon's extra protection since they are semi fragile. Testing the army the deployment of these initially pretty much determines the value they will have during the game, and I am just not sure the best practice. You could also run them on their own or beside the loota's depending on the situation. Since no one around here uses them thought I would ping you for some feedback on them.

Also an analysis on the ork special characters would be interesting to read when you have time. A second opinion if you will to compare my thoughts on them.

If I am facing a army that has to silence my guns, I put the Kannons far back and use the crews to screen the Lootas (yes, I am a cunning git if I say so). Usually the Kannons go in the center and the Lootas go on the flanks. Then I can screen the Kannons with my troops by standing in front of the grots. It's...well, nobody seems to want to play it...

If I am facing a shooty army, I'll place them as far forward as I can. Screw cover if needed. I'll even move them turn one if I can't get clean shots. The lootas usually don't have many issues given their 48" range.

I usually use the fast vehicles to block enemy movement towards me, resulting in even more shooting at the enemy while they fuck around with 270 points of shit. lol

As far as an analysis of the Ork special characters, I'll do one. So pick and I'll do a write up. More than that, and I might as well write a Army Review for the Orks. ;)
